Neatkept Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Neatkept: the apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, the web app at app.neatkept.com, the API and the MCP server for AI assistants. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. How we handle your personal data is in the separate privacy policy.

Who we are

Neatkept is provided by Global Tech Distribution s.r.o., Voskovcova 1130/30, Hlubočepy, 152 00 Praha 5, Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 04146549, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 243234 ("we"). Contact: the contact form, or write to the address above.

Your account

Households

Your inventory lives in a household. Whoever creates a household is its owner. An owner can invite others as editors (may change things) or viewers (may only look), make members owners, change their roles and remove them. Everyone in a household sees everything in it, except that lock codes are shown only to owners and editors. The owners decide who is in it; invite only people you trust.

Your content

What you put into Neatkept (photos, names, notes, places, values, lock codes) stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store it, process it (including with the AI models described below), show it to the people in your household and the apps you connect, and back it up. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire.

Put in only content you have the right to use. You can take everything out at any time: Settings → Your data → Export my data.

Acceptable use

Don't use Neatkept to break the law or other people's rights, to store illegal content, to attack, overload or probe the service or other users, to get around plan limits or access controls, or to resell the service. Using the API and assistants within their rate limits is fine; scraping the service in other ways is not.

If you break these rules, we may remove the content concerned, limit your account or close it. We decide case by case, fairly and in proportion, and with regard to your rights. Unless the matter is serious or urgent, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Whenever we restrict something, we tell you what and why.

Reporting content and complaints

Under the EU Digital Services Act, our single point of contact for users and authorities is the contact form (in English or Czech, or any language of the Neatkept app). Use it to report content you believe is illegal: say where it is and why it is illegal, and give your name and email (not needed for a report of child sexual abuse material). We look at every report promptly and tell you what we decided. We don't use automated tools to moderate content. If we restricted your content or account, you can complain through the same form within six months; a person, not an automated system, reviews the complaint. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.

AI features

Neatkept uses AI models to recognise things in photos, read packaging, understand searches and spoken phrases, and spot duplicates. Nothing goes to the AI models until you allow it in the app, and you can change your answer in Settings → AI. AI can be wrong: it can miss things, name them wrongly or guess the wrong quantity. Check its proposals before you confirm them, and don't rely on it for decisions about safety, medicine, money or insurance claims without checking.

API tokens and connected assistants

You can make API tokens and connect AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT (through our MCP server, mcp.neatkept.com) to your household. You choose the household and the access, never more than your role there. What a token or an assistant does with your household, including changes and deletions, is done on your behalf. What an assistant reads goes to the company behind it under its own terms; choose assistants and give tokens only where you trust them. You can revoke tokens and disconnect assistants at any time in the web app: see the page for developers.

Plans and subscriptions

Neatkept has a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Family); the limits of each are shown in the app. A paid plan belongs to a household: an owner buys it and everyone in the household benefits. Subscriptions are sold through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment, renews the subscription until you cancel it, and handles cancellations, refunds and the right of withdrawal under its own terms, apart from the refunds these terms promise; manage them in your Apple or Google account. Where these terms promise a refund and the store doesn't make it, ask us through the contact form: we pay it back directly to the person who bought the subscription, within 14 days. If a subscription ends, the household goes back to the free plan; nothing you entered is locked or deleted. We may change prices or plans for the future; a price change reaches an existing subscription only as the App Store or Google Play allows, with notice.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Neatkept running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change the service for good reasons: security, a change in the law, changes at the providers it relies on (such as Apple, Google or the AI models), or developing the product. Such changes cost you nothing. If a change makes the service noticeably worse for you, we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance; you can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days, and for a paid plan we refund the unused part of the period you paid for; cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google account too, or the store keeps renewing it. If we stop the service, we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance, so you can export your data first.

Liability

We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for harm to life, body or health. For other damage caused by a breach of our duties, we are liable for the damage that was typical and foreseeable when you accepted these terms. Neatkept is an inventory, not insurance: values and reports in it are your own records. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Ending

You can stop at any time: delete your account in Settings → Your data → Delete account. What happens to your households and data is described in the privacy policy. Cancel a paid subscription in your Apple or Google account; deleting the account doesn't cancel it. We may end these terms by closing your account with 30 days' notice; if a subscription paid for your household then still runs, we refund the unused part and remind you to cancel it in your Apple or Google account. We may close an account at once if you seriously break these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update the date above and tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before a change that matters takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Neatkept and delete your account; for a paid plan we then refund the unused part of the period you paid for; cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google account too, or the store keeps renewing it.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can go to the courts there. Write to us first: most problems are solved that way. As a consumer you can also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, which resolves consumer disputes out of court: adr.coi.cz.
