Neatkept for Mac — home inventory on Apple-silicon Macs
The iPad app on a Mac with Apple silicon, for sorting and adding things on a big screen.

What it needs
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Neatkept is the iPad app, which runs on these Macs as it is: the App Store on the Mac lists iPhone and iPad apps too. Sign in with Apple, with an email link or with a passkey.
What is different
- No camera scanning. Add photos from Finder or Photos and type the codes of labels and barcodes.
- No voice or widgets on the Mac. The phone has them.
- Lock codes and the whole inventory offline, as on the iPad.

Questions and answers
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later). It is the iPad app, which Apple lets these Macs run as it is.
How do I add things without a camera?
Drag photos from Finder or Photos onto the app and AI lists what is in them, the same as on the phone. Type the code of a label or the number under a barcode instead of scanning it.
Do I need a separate subscription for the Mac?
No. A plan belongs to the household, so it covers every device you sign in on.
