Declutter by rules: find things you haven't touched in years

Set a rule like "not touched for 2 years", and Neatkept shows what's due. You decide, one card at a time.

Works on iPhone · iPad · Mac · Android · Web

Rules you set

A rule says what to look for: unopened for, not touched for, or bought some months ago. It covers all places, one place with everything under it, or one box, and can include or skip categories. Every household starts with two: unopened for 12 months and not touched for 24, both skipping documents.

"Time to let go" on Places

When a rule finds something, Time to let go appears at the top of Places with a count. The list is grouped by home and place, and each thing says why it's there, like "Bought 8 years ago".

One card at a time

Tap Review and answer "Still using it?". The check mark keeps a thing for a year, the cross lets it go, and ⋯ keeps it forever. Letting go asks why: sold, given away, thrown out or other, and Undo brings it back.

Only what you really don't use

Editing a thing, moving it on its own, taking it with you or opening it from search counts as touching it. Moving the box it's in, scanning a QR label or browsing places doesn't. So the drill you use every week stays off the list, even if it always goes back to the same box.

Nothing is lost

The list is worked out on your phone, so it works offline. Things you let go stay under the Let go tab and in your data export, so "did I sell it?" still has an answer.
